Internal Science of Sustainable Energy

MARCH28-APRIL 1 | MYRNAM

Our school-wide science project will be focused on sustainable energy technologies. We anticipate completing our fifth annual energy-related whole school project next year. Our residency will look at “Internal Science of Sustainable Energy”. That means that students will “act out “ the science by playing the electrons, the magnetic forces and the sun’s energy. Our students are invested in their drive to learn more about sustainability in all of their pursuits. We have a motivated group of students coming up in their grade 12 year who would like to learn about sustainable construction practices in building a net-zero “tiny house”. We would like to unite our various programs of horticulture, construction, environmental stewardship and agriculture into this theme of sustainability. Our goal is to bring a greater understanding of the science behind these projects to students of all ages in our school.
