A residency with Trickster Theatre would involve all of our students creating and performing an original theatrical production based around the theme of Perseverance. This is an incredibly important topic for our community and our students as they often face challenges in their lives. Throughout this residency our students will work with artists, their teachers and elders to discover what it means to persevere. Classes will create theatre plays about being willing to take risks, how to find and work with mentors, being prepared, how to set goals, and how our culture can help us to achieve our goals. This exploration would involve all of the students working together to develop the stories, the scripts, the choreography, helping with props, sound effects, and finally performing these theatre creations in front of their peers, families and community.
