Our proposed project for the 2021-2022 school year is to work with Trickster Theatre to incorporate their week-long residency program. Classes in Kindergarten through Grade 5 (13 in total) would participate in a workshop with an artist every day. Over the past year our school community has been focusing on our new mascot and how to incorporate the OWLS theme into everyday activities. Our hope is that Trickster will provide a unique opportunity to explore the four ways we build connections at Joseph Welsh. Students will be encouraged to pick one of the four connections – Others, the World, Learning, and Self – to focus on for their performance. The residency will allow students to celebrate how they build connections in different situations, and share their accomplishments with peers and parents.
