This residency will focus on the art of Storytelling. Classes will choose their own theme and genre of writing. These could include poetry, legends, fairy tales and more. They will then create a performance based on these stories. Students will work collaboratively to write scripts and choreograph their performance. They will choose music and sound effects that accentuate the stories they are sharing. All students will have the opportunity to perform in the show.

The school will also contact stakeholder groups, such members of the Grasmere School Council, that could come in to assist with show development and final production. Each class’s unique story will be woven together for the final show, performed for students, parents and community members on the last day of the residency.
