Holy Spirit Academy doesn’t have a drama specialist, but welcome the fine arts in whatever capacity they can. The distance from Calgary doesn’t allow students to be able to attend larger productions on field trips and the school and students have never experienced anything to the scale of a Trickster residency. This opportunity will rekindle a strong sense of community after two years of isolation/division, as well as supporting english language arts in more ways than simply reading and writing. 30% of students at Holy Spirit Academy are learning english as a second language, so this residency will allow students to not only gain skills in the arts, but confidence and a sense of belonging.
