Funding for 2025/26 Trickster Theatre Residencies

Our Trickster residencies empower youth of all backgrounds and learning abilities to reach their full potential.

Did you know that Trickster Theatre will help you apply for funding to support your residency?

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) application can provide 50% of funding to schools in the Calgary and Edmonton areas and 75% everywhere else. Up to $15,000 per school is possible.

With grant support, our residences range in price from $17-$33 dollars per child in the Calgary area, $22-$31 dollars per child in the Edmonton area, and $21-$30 dollars per child in many rural locations.

We help all of our schools navigate the grant application process and provide suggestions for ways to strengthen your application. The application is not hard to do- and we give you lots of support.

Many schools approach their Parent Council, Town Council or sell affordable tickets to the show to help offset the costs. There are a lot of possibilities!

Trickster is now also applying for federal government funding, which means you now have double the chances to get your residency funded.

There is still availability for you to apply for a Trickster Theatre residency. Connect with us today to learn more!
