What Can We Learn From Animals?

June 2-6 | Atikameg

Grades K-6

Trickster will collaborate with Atikameg’s students and staff on a project titled: “What we learn from Animals,” for an outdoor performance that will transcend the limitations of a gym space! This approach allows us to integrate elements like fire and water, connecting deeply with animal habitats. Inspired by Elder teachings and discussions on animal wisdom, students will collaborate daily with artists to shape narratives, create masks, giant puppets, and music. Every student will play a role as performers in the show, which explores how animals teach essential lessons on interconnectedness, respect for nature, listening skills, and survival alongside our animal relatives in the bush.
