Smith School’s residency theme, “Whispers of Wisdom: Nurturing Identity and Resilience through the 7 Grandfather Teachings,” aims to help students overcome challenges exacerbated by COVID-19 by integrating these teachings into their daily lives. Students will develop scripts, enhancing their storytelling and public speaking skills, while also learning about the cultural significance of the 7 Grandfather Teachings. This initiative supports Truth and Reconciliation efforts by fostering empathy, respect, and community understanding of Indigenous wisdom.
