Un artiste Trickster mènera votre classe dans la création d’une histoire en grand groupe, en utilisant notre processus d’élaboration de récits rapide et amusant. Nous nous joindrons à votre classe avec Google Meets, et animerons l’atelier avec Google Jamboard. Nous aurons une petite rencontre avant le premier atelier pour choisir des images inspiratrices, discuter des détails de l’atelier et répondre à vos questions.

Quel est l’art du récit?

  • Une forme d’art ancienne

APERÇU DU PROGRAMME

Dans chaque séance de 75 minutes, nous utiliserons Google Meets pour mener vos élèves dans notre processus de création de récits. Nous utiliserons Google Jamboard pour partager le processus sur votre Smartboard ou un projecteur, et pour construire le plan du récit ensemble.

Nos récits seront inspirés d’images. Nous choisirons ces images de notre banque d’images lors de notre mini-réunion, ou vous pouvez en suggérer une autre. Nous utiliserons une ou deux images pour créer une ou deux histoires, dépendant du rythme de votre classe.

Notre processus nous aidera à développer un récit détaillé avec la classe en utilisant l’image. Les étapes du processus sont décrites ci-dessous.

Étape 1: L’image. Nous présenterons l’image aux élèves comme un moment figé dans un film, et expliquer que nous devons créer le reste des images pour compléter l’histoire.

Les élèves observeront l’image pour découvrir les groupes d’objets et de personnages qui seront dans notre histoire. Qu’arriverait-il s’il y avait plus de cochons dans l’image, plus de tables de pique-nique, plus de cornets de crème glacée?

ÉTAPE 2: Nous utiliserons les modèles de mouvement pour ajouter de l’action à notre histoire. Comment est-ce que les groupes dans notre image pourraient interagir?

ÉTAPE 3: Les élèves créeront des idées de récit basées sur notre image et les modèles de mouvement. Nous écrirons toutes leurs idées sur la page d’idées et voterons pour notre idée préférée. Une fois que nous avons choisi notre idée, nous allons créer un problème central pour notre histoire.

ÉTAPE 4 : En nous basant sur notre idée de récit, nous créerons un problème central pour notre histoire. Nous formulerons aussi une question ‘comment…’ autour du problème. Nous essayerons de répondre à la question en créant le récit. La question et le problème central nous permettent de créer un récit unifié autour du problème, et aident les élèves dans l’élaboration de l’histoire.

ÉTAPE 5: L’artiste posera des questions aux élèves pour les aider à planifier le récit. Nous trouverons des idées de solution du problème central, ainsi qu’un début et une fin, pour développer le plan de notre récit.

ÉTAPE 6: Nous organiserons nos idées écrites sur la page de récit en cercle autour du problème central.

ÉTAPE 7: En utilisant notre schéma comme guide, l’artiste travaillera avec deux élèves pour raconter l’histoire. Après ceci, la classe ajoutera des détails au schéma. Ensuite, nous répéterons cette activité avec d’autres élèves.

Le projet final est à vous de choisir! Certains enseignants ont demandé aux élèves de créer des bandes dessinées, des vidéos, des pièces de théâtre ou des tableaux avec le récit. Ils pourraient aussi écrire une copie propre du récit, ils pourraient trouver une nouvelle fin pour l’histoire. C’est à vous de décider, et si vous voulez plus d’idées, n’hésitez pas à en discuter avec votre artiste!

My class of diverse learners enjoyed this virtual field trip on storytelling. The ability to choose the final project allows the students to choose to do the retelling orally, pictorially, or in writing. The choice was their big buy-in factor. The storyboard pages are wonderful to let students make the choice in how they present the information (pictorially, written or a mix of both!) Our facilitator was kind, funny and kept the class on task. I wholly recommend this program to anyone looking to help teach students how to expand on an idea and provide more details. I will want to do this every year!

This was such a surprising and insightful way to get students to think so much deeper about story creation. I loved the step-by-step processes (idea shelf, central problem, the question cube, and putting the story in order) and how detailed they were. It helped the kids to reflect more profoundly on the ways they can improve their storytelling. The kids really enjoyed the one on one oral storytelling too. This whole process will be the method I use from now on.

The experience was wonderful. It was great to see the process of the workshop in action through direct modelling of each step and then to hear the students creative ideas being heard and used in the story. I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity to grow as an educator over the last week. We had the loveliest Trickster Theatre artist join our classroom for two inspiring sessions. My students were engaged, enthusiastic, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
