Diversity and Identity - Literary Genres

MAY 10-14 | DAPP

Each class will choose a Literary Genre, like Sci-fi, Slam Poetry, Fairy Tales, Documentary or Historical Fiction (to name a few) and create an original performance piece focused on Diversity and Identity. It could be a “Mystery” about a lost person, a touching and poignant “documentary” piece about refugees escaping a war torn nation, a “Slam Poetry” piece about someone questioning their identity, or a “ cartoon” about animal relationships in the wild. All of the pieces will involve a distinctive literary style and a different exploration of identity or diversity. The “Literary Genres” theme will allow classes many options to pick from that suits their class identity.
